During a time of sadness and hurt, mainly of the loneliness of singleness, I felt inspired to write the following words. What better time than when you are actually in that situation?
The pain and hurt deep within is very real, and yet the comfort of the Lord so deep and precious.
It is here He whispers the words
"Be Still My Soul the Lord is on your side, bear patiently the weight of grief or pain leave to your God to order and provide"
Our hearts do break, and the eyes will ache with weeping, and yet the Lord whispers "It is only for a season, only a short while" This is so true, how great is His comfort, and blessing.
Habakkuk said, "Though the fig doesn’t blossom….., yet I will REJOICE in my God"
Our hearts may indeed be broken and our innermost being sigh with the heaviness of loneliness and the indescribable longing for human companionship, yet the Lord is faithful, and in time will lift us up.
Joseph in prison was tried by the Word of God.
Jesus Himself was also tried, but look how blessed his end was.
He cried, "My God why have you forsaken me?" We too may cry the same words, but God who knows best will, in His time, bring us into our desired haven of rest. We, for this season of hurt, must for Him alone patiently bear this time that He has permitted to fall upon us, resting assuredly that the sunlight of God’s face will shine brightly once more in the future and the heavy heart will be turned into rejoicing and peaceful rest in the Lord. Wait upon the Lord and in due time He will lift you up.
