If You Want The Best You Must Give The Best

Matthew 6:33. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you”

If we want the best in our lives, given to us by our God, then we must GIVE Him the BEST.
We need to give Him the best part of the day to pray and worship Him. For some this is the morning, for others it may be the evening.
We need to give to Him our Best and deepest affections.

How easy it will be to give affection to our friend, spouse or family member, but what about the Lord? Does He not warrant the first affection?
By seeking first the things that please Him and for His kingdom, it is then that the things that we long for and need will added to us.
To desire the best means very probably to wait and to be tested by hurts and sorrows of emotions and affections, as we see others having their longings met so quickly.
To desire the best is highly prized but rarely pursued.
2nd Best is an easy option of which many opt for.
The best is worth waiting for.
Nothing of value comes easy it always produces some kind of pain and labour.
But we can know that if we seek with all our heart’s to give God the best in all we do, He will surely lavish His goodness upon us.
