I liken God and ALL HIS LOVE and goodness as being immersed completely in water.

What is the best antidote for feeling unhappy with not having a dear special companion?
Well I think that is none else than God Himself.
You see from God we have peace, joy, happiness, love, rest, comfort, bliss etc.
The Lord has shown me a picture of how we grow more content with Him as we live our lives the best we can while we wait for His promises to be fulfilled. It may not be a spouse, there are many things that we wait for, perhaps conversion of a close friend.
In Ezekiel 47:5 “Again, after his measuring a thousand, it became a river which it was not possible to go through: for the waters had become deep enough for swimming, a river it was not possible to go through.” We read a portion of how he first walked in the water, then it was up to his waist and finally it was so deep he swam in it.
Although the illustration I believe is to do with the growth of Gods Kingdom, it is a great picture of how Christian lives are.
You see, I liken God and ALL HIS LOVE and goodness as being immersed completely in water.
1st. We are converted, and we paddle we experience God in a small way, but a real way.
2nd. We grow more and we are up to our waist with our experience of God.
3rd. We swim, for we grow still further, and it is here that we really begin to experience Gods love and comfort in such a way that it dispels all sadness, whether the pain of having no spouse, or real friends or something else.
4th. At times we can actually go under the water. When we do that we become totally overwhelmed by the water ( totally overwhelmed by Gods love) at such times NO pain can touch us, NO worry can afflict, NO heart ache can trouble us, I know because Ive proved it. Impatience is Banished.
But of course we cannot stay under the water, we have to come back to real life, work, pressures etc.
But the more we can get alone and be immersed, then I believe the happier we will be now and in marriage.
