Flying Home To The Place Of Worship

Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord”

I was thinking this morning.
We had a pigeon, and when we first got it we had to lock it up in a coup for many weeks so that it got to know “the place of home” it would look so longingly out of the glass “please let me go and trust me to come back”.

Finally we could trust him to come back.
So I would take him 12 miles away, and sure enough he would fly straight home and enjoying his freedom and the creation around him.
That’s like us, as we wait for Gods dear blessing upon us, for me as I wait for a spouse I am saying Lord please release me, let me go, and bring your blessing to me, the Lord could say if I did, would you fly straight back to me to the place of worship? Would you still love me with all your heart and give me your affection? I hope that now after all these years that I can say yes.
Well May be this will help you to see why God delays our blessings, just a thought.
