“In this you rejoice greatly and jump for joy, even though now for a little while yes for a short time may be an hour or day or even a month, if it be necessary you have been distressed by various temptations, (for Gods knows what best to make you strong and mighty for Him).

Fear not, I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.

For is written For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside You, what he has prepared for him that waits and for him and loves him. But you must let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will you can receive what he has promised.

So do not throw away your confidence, since it holds a great reward for you.

The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

For the Lord will not cast off forever.

For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindness.

For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.

The righteous cry and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.”
