Isaiah 30:18. “ The Lord will wait that He may be GRACIOUS to you”

Today I was sat out on the hills with the Lord, and in the quietness, some thoughts came to me.
Does any one ever say to you, “Sorry you are past your self by date”? or “He/she wont get anyone now, there past 40”? people can be very hurtful, to those who are already hurt.
So I thought and the Lord reminded me of Isaac.
Isaac was a man of 40 years when he met his bride, amazingly he wasn’t looking / searching for a wife, no, he was FOCUSED upon God, he was out meditating / worshipping God, and whilst he was doing so God brought his bride actually to him! (not saying God will do that for us, we may both have to be at a certain place to meet) but look the first thing is, that in those days the father / mother chose a bride for their son. Isaac was 40 years old, how many times he must have wondered to himself, WHAT IS MY FATHER doing doesn’t know I’m getting older, everyone else is being blest what about me? But his father knew best and the best time, he gave him a beautiful young bride.
Our heavenly Father is the one who CHOOSES are partners, and we may get all upset about His timing, but He will give THE BEST to those who WAIT HIS TIME. Do you want a beautiful husband / wife or do you want a beautiful and spiritual spouse? You can have both but often spiritual beauty comes after a number of years of trials and tests, tears and heart ache. Isaac I am sure suffered, but he didn’t take the situation into his own hands and go on a woman hunt. He waited, waited and waited until his father provided. In the mean time he got to know and love God.
I am in the 40+ bracket, and so I take comfort that as I serve and love for God, that I am confident that being in His will doing His will being in His will, is the way, for me to be and the way in which I shall meet my princess. Isaiah 30:18. So be strong, and hope in God, He does know best. For you younger ones, in your teens and twenties, be assured that the wait will work for your good, and your relationship with God will be 100x more precious for every year you have to wait.
